AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Cycle
Oil is formulated with a proprietary blend of the finest synthetic
base oils and additives available today. This unique AMSOIL
chemistry represents a breakthrough development in the field
of two-cycle engine lubrication.
The backbone of AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR
2-Cycle Oil is a specially developed molecularly saturated
synthetic base oil. This, combined with a potent additive
package, ensures exceptional lubricity, cleanliness and optimum
clean-burning characteristics. Extensive research and testing,
including a full snowmobiling season in severe Rocky Mountain
applications, has proven that wear on cylinders, pistons and
bearings is dramatically reduced. And with up to 30 percent
more detergency and dispersancy than typical two-cycle oils,
AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR virtually eliminates damaging deposits
on piston skirts, ring grooves and exhaust power valves.
AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Cycle
Oil is recommended as an injector oil or at a 50:1 mix ratio
in carbureted, electronic fuel Injected (EFI) and direct fuel
injected (DFI) snowmobiles, personal watercraft, motorcycles,
ATVs and jet boats, including, but not limited to, those manufactured
by Bombardier®, Yamaha®, Arctic Cat®, Polaris®,
Kawasaki®, Suzuki® and Honda®.
It is recommended wherever API
TC and JASO FC two-cycle oils are specified. INTERCEPTOR is
compatible with and recommended as a replacement for all mineral
and synthetic manufacturer branded two-cycle oils. For top
performance, mixing is not recommended.
400,000 Miles of Severe
Snowmobile Field testing With No Deposit Buildup, Power Valve
Sticking, Ring Sticking or Engine Failures.
Subjected to adverse field testing conditions
in the Rocky Mountains, including long trail rides, high RPM
powder riding and steep hill climbs, AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR demonstrated
superior wear protection and outstanding deposit control.
No carbon deposits are detectable
in the functioning region of the exhaust power valves, resulting
in "no stick" performance, continuous valve operation
and reduced maintenance.
Pistons show no scoring,
little or no wear and no heavy deposits, and wrist pins
show no discoloration from heat. In fact, the original
machine markings on the pistons are still visible.
Cylinder head is clean
with no deposits, preventing pre-ignition problems.
AMSOIL Dominator Synthetic 2-Cycle
DOMINATOR Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil is a robust formulation
specially engineered for unsurpassed protection in high
performance two-cycle motors, both on and off the track.
It contains heavier synthetic base oils that provide
more lubricity for "on the edge" operation.
DOMINATOR reduces friction and protects pistons and
bearings subjected to the rigors of racing. DOMINATOR
contains the right additives for clean motor operation.

at 50:1 pre-mix or in injection system
DOMINATOR, an AMSOIL exclusive formulation,
lubricates and protects high performance two-cycle motors,
both on and off the track. High performance motors, particularly
those that are modified, operate hotter and at higher RPMs
than recreational motors, and they need good oil for peak
performance. DOMINATOR is engineered for racing. It has the
right film strength and clean burning properties for "on
the edge" operation.
Super Film Strength
High performance two-cycle motors have
high compression ratios, which significantly increase combustion
chamber heat and crankshaft bearing pressures. Hot combustion
processes quickly burn off and evaporate light oils and cause
rapid piston expansion, decreasing piston-to-cylinder wall
clearances. This promotes piston scuffing and possible seizure.
And increased pressure on crankshaft bearings promotes metal-to-metal
contact, wear and pitting.
High heat and pressures require
tough oil with better film strength and more lubricity. DOMINATOR,
constructed with AMSOIL heavy synthetic oil, handles high
heat better than mineral oils and provides improved film strength
and lubricity. DOMINATOR reduces friction and provides an
extra measure of protection against piston scuffing and crankshaft
High combustion processes require the
proper additives and oils to control deposits. DOMINATOR contains
strong, high temperature detergent additives and highly pure
AMSOIL synthetic oil. It prevents deposits that cause ring
sticking, plug fouling and exhaust port blocking. DOMINATOR
is an optimized product for severe service.
DOMINATOR is recommended for use in
high performance stock or modified two-cycle motors, including
air or liquid cooled snowmobiles, personal watercraft, motorcycles
(Moto X), ATVs, go-carts and outboard motors*. Good for use
with coated or non-coated pistons, high-octane racing fuels
and exhaust power valves. Compatible with most other two-cycle
oils, however, mixing oils should be minimized.
Use at 50:1 pre-mix ratios
(2.6 oz. oil per U.S. gallon of gas) or as injection oil where
JASO FC or API TC oils are specified. Not suitable for use
with alcohol or nitro-methane fuels.
* Not suitable for long-term
use in outboard motors as a TC-W3 type oil, although excellent
as a race oil for short-term use where motors are periodically
It is common knowledge
that, at some point, engine oil must be changed. It's something
that is preached relentlessly to vehicle owners by vehicle
manufacturers, quick lubes and oil companies. But consumers
are widely unaware of what exactly makes oil changes necessary.
Many factors contribute
to a motor oil's demise, but it is essentially the accumulation
of contaminants in the oil and chemical changes in the oil
itself that make a motor unfit for further service. With time,
it is inevitable that the oil will be contaminated by dirt
or sludge, or succumb to the extreme pressures or temperatures
found inside an engine. AMSOIL Motor Oils are formulated with
the industry's most advanced synthetic base stocks and additive
packages to combat the forces that deteriorate conventional
What is the NOACK Volatility
Volatization is a term used to describe
what happens to a fluid as it is heated to the point it begins
to "boil off." Upon reaching a certain temperature,
oil will begin to lose some of its lighter weight molecules
as they "boil off" and leave heavier weight molecules
behind. Not only does this cause higher oil consumption, this
process can also cause increased viscosity making the oil
more difficult to circulate through the lubrication system.

synthetic motor oils are formulated to surpass engine test
specifications, offering protection far greater than competing
motor oils for extended drain intervals. Most synthetic oil
manufacturers make no claim to extended drain intervals, deferring
to the maintenance schedule provided by the vehicle manufacturer.
With its unparalleled oil and warranty program, AMSOIL offers
consumers unprecedented protection and economics.
More than 20 years
ago, AMSOIL began using the NOACK volatility test as a comparison
tool and measurement of quality. Back then, nearly every oil
tested side-by-side with AMSOIL synthetic motor oils failed,
and those that passed barely squeaked by. Other oil companies
paid no attention to NOACK results until Ford Motor Company
made it a requirement for service fill oils, validating what
AMSOIL had said all along.
NOACK Volatility Test
Volatility Test determines the evaporation loss
of lubricants in high temperature service. The more
motor oils vaporize, the thicker and heavier they become,
contributing to poor circulation, reduced fuel economy
and increased oil consumption, wear and emissions. AMSOIL
Synthetic Motor Oil resists high temperature volatization
better than other motor oils. AMSOIL Synthetic Motor
Oil maintains peak fuel efficiency and reduces oil consumption
